Team Busylizzy attends the British Franchise Association’s ‘Empowering Women in Business’ Event
On November 15th 2018, The British Franchise Association (bfa) hosted their annual Empowering Women in Business even held at the Nottingham Belfry hotel. We were treated to some fantastic and inspiring speakers including Sarah Bilby, NatWest Business, Sarah Kelly, CEO Stagecoach, Toni Eastwood OBE and Professor Tanya Byron.
The event was great for networking and chatting with like-minded business women. Julie – the founder of Busylizzy commented “What an awesome day! My head is spinning with ideas to implement at Busylizzy!”
When asked about her thoughts on the event, Michelle (owner of Busylizzy Reigate) commented:
“I wasn’t sure what to expect if I’m honest but not only was it great to spend valuable time with other Busylizzy team members, the conference itself genuinely makes you feel empowered (cheesy I know!). My thinking is probably a bit backward from the aim of it but all the same, it had such a positive impact on how I will be running my business going forward. I felt empowered because of the things that I am getting right – to to be able to sit there thinking ‘yes I do that’ or ‘yes I made those changes to improve’ makes you feel good. I left inspired to make further improvements, take calculated risks and grow my business with confidence. I’m now feeling very united with everyone at Busylizzy (even those who didn’t come with us!) and proud of what we do, because we are all getting so much right and whilst everyone can always do better, it’s good to have the tools and advice to be able to develop yourself personally and of course your business.”
